Pronghorn Antelope -- From Saskatchewan
to the Mexican Plains
The pronghorn lives throughout western
North America. Similar to a deer, pronghorns have two black horns and a
bright, tannish-red coat. Standing about 3 feet at the shoulder, they
weigh 100 to 140 pounds. These little critters just love to eat brush.
Very shy, if you would get close to one, leave it in the Plains, as a trip
to the hospital would be hard to explain.
