Cougars -- America's Lion
The cougar, also called the mountain lion &
panther, is a big cat that inhabits areas from Southern Florida to British
Columbia. The color of these cats range from russet to gray. They average
8 feet in length and weigh up to 275 pounds. Their tail is 2 to 3 foot
long with a dark tip. These cats like to ambush their prey, with the back
of the victim's neck being the target. This ain't no housecat, so leave it
alone, keep your kids inside and beware. Each year these animals take a
few humans to dinner -- with the dinner being the human. |
